Winners of The Daylight Award 2020
- The Daylight Award, established by the philanthropic foundations VILLUM FONDEN, VELUX FONDEN and VELUX STIFTUNG, honours daylight research and daylight in architecture, for the benefit of human health, well-being and the environment. The award places specific emphasis on the interrelation between theory and practice.

2019

Launch of UIA Friendly and Inclusive Space Awards 2020
- Organised by the UIA's Work Programme, Architecture for All, the Friendly and Inclusive Spaces Awards were established to promote inspiring examples of friendly and inclusive buildings and places that have created socially sustainable environments through high quality architectural design.
Architecture for All will honour the winners of the third edition of “Friendly and Inclusive Spaces” at the official Awards Ceremony at the 27th UIA World Congress in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 18-22 July 2021.
The prize includes the following categories: 1) New Buildings, 2) Refurbished Existing Buildings, including Historic Buildings 3) Public and Open Spaces 4) Research

Launch of UIA Architecture & Children Golden Cubes Awards 2020
- The UIA Architecture & Children Work Programme Golden Cubes Awards will celebrate those who prepare our children and young people for this task. The Awards will also help to stimulate new projects that share this objective.
Imagining the cities of the future is an urgent and vital challenge. Educating those who will create them is an issue we should address now.
Award Categories
1. School Award
This Award is open to any school providing general education in accordance with the state or nationalcurriculum to children and young people. (Schools providing specialist or vocational education in thefields of art, design, architecture or related fields are not eligible in this category.)2. Institution Award
This Award is open to Museums, Galleries, Foundations, Associations and other organisations, eithersingly or in collaboration with others, in any field. (Schools providing specialist or vocational educationin the fields of art, design, architecture or related fields may enter in this category).3. Written Media Award
This Award is open to individuals and organisations working in the field of written media (articles,books, magazines, non audio-visual educational tools)4. Audio-visual Media Award
This Award is open to individuals and organisations working in the field of audio-visual media(documentaries, films, TV programmes, audio-visual educational tools).

Gold Award of Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2018
- The International Union of Architects (UIA) - Region IV Work Programme on 'Architecture For All" has participated and awarded the Gold Award in Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2018 co-organised by the Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC), and the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO).

Winners of the 2017 Edition of UIA Friendly and Inclusive Spaces Awards
- The International Union of Architects (UIA) has launched the winners of the 2017 Edition of UIA Friendly and Inclusive Spaces Awards. 28 countries submitted their nominations to an International Jury in four categories - New Buildings, Public Space, Existing and Historic Buildings, and Research.

Winners of the 2017 3rd Edition of UIA Architecture & Children Golden Cubes Awards
- The International Union of Architects (UIA) has launched the winners of the 2017 3rd Edition of UIA Architecture & Children Golden Cubes Awards. 23 countries submitted their nominations to an International Jury in four categories - Schools, Institutions, Written Media and Audio- Visual Media. 51 National best nominations were send to UIA, there were 13 entries in Schools category, 19 entries in Institution category, 10 in Written Media category and 9 in Audio and visual category.

Official launch of UIA Friendly and Inclusive Space Awards 2017
- The International Union of Architects (UIA) has launched the second edition of the ‘Friendly and Inclusive Spaces’ Awards on 28 September 2016. The Awards recognise and promote inclusive design – from buildings and public spaces to research – and are open to all architect members of UIA member sections. Entries can be submitted online, from 28 September until 20 December 2016, at https://uiafriendlyspaces.awardsplatform.com/

Deadline for Submissions and Stage 1 Entry Fee 31 Jan 2017
Shortlisted Entrants will be informed by 28 Feb 2017
Deadline for payment for Stage 2 shortlisted entries 14 Mar 2017
All shortlisted entrants must submit a panel in an agreed format by 14 Apr 2017 (template will be supplied by the organisers in Feb 2017). The panels will be printed by SARP and will be exhibited at the Congress Winners will be informed by 10 May 2017
The Awards will be presented at the 26 UIA World Congress of Architecture Awards Ceremony in Seoul, South Korea which will take place between the 3-10 Sep 2017
